Join RALSD for an hour of full-body, self-massage and stretch workshop with Phoebe Perry.
With years of ballerina experience, Phoebe runs her mobile massage business, helping people find relief from pain and achieving full-body relaxation.
During this one-hour session, Phoebe will teach massage techniques for various muscles which can be part of your at-home self-care routine. She will guide participants through understanding how different muscles signify pain or tightness. All you need is a Yoga mat, comfortable clothing and a small semi-hard ball (like a tennis ball).
Workshop will take place from 9.00 am- 10.00 am, followed by 10-15 minutes for questions.
About Phoebe Perry
Phoebe Perry is both a professional dancer with San Diego Ballet and a small business owner of her own mobile massage business Allongé Massage & Wellness. As far as body work goes she has been a massage therapist for 4 years specializing in deep tissue and sports massage. Having over 20 years of training in ballet, she has a natural understanding of the mechanics of the body and the motion each muscle creates. Her ballet background deeply enhances her knowledge of the body, as well as injury prevention and self-maintenance. This past year during the lockdowns Phoebe developed a self-massage class, as she was unable to physically work on people for quite some time. This full-body self-massage class is something that can be done at home, by yourself, to relieve the body of the tension we store in it. She incorporates both balletic stretches and massage techniques in this class to leave the body feeling relaxed and balanced.
