Become a volunteer member of the 2017-2019 Steering Committee and contribute to San Diego becoming an innovative, inspiring world-class arts leader. Steering Committee members receive up to $500 in reimbursements for approved professional development expenses.

The Rising Arts Leaders Programming Committee is responsible for planning and implementing numerous programs of Rising Arts Leaders for RAL Members, RAL Associate Members, and the public. The goal of the Programming Committee is to create engaging programming to encourage and enliven the artistic community of San Diego. The Programming Committee members make important decisions regarding content and frequency of Rising Arts Leaders programs which include: Quarterly Professional Development events and the Mentorship Program.
The Rising Arts Leaders Communications Committee is responsible for outreach and marketing for all programs of Rising Arts Leaders for RAL Members, RAL Associate Members, and the public. The goal of the Communications Committee is to create engaging marketing and branding representative of an active and diverse membership to encourage and enliven the artistic community of San Diego. The Communications Committee members make important decisions regarding the public representation of Rising Arts Leaders via the RAL website, press releases, e-newsletters, and social media outlets.
The Rising Arts Leaders Advocacy Committee is responsible for advancing the value and appreciation of the arts in the community. This Committee's goal is to enliven the local arts sector with enthusiasm and fresh ideas to encourage support and engage audiences. The Advocacy Committee makes important decisions about strategic partnerships and communications.
The Rising Arts Leaders Membership Committee is responsible for recruitment and retaining all levels of Rising Arts Leaders Members and Associate Members. The goal of the Membership Committee is to create engaging methods to encourage and enliven the artistic community of San Diego. The Membership Committee members make important decisions regarding the benefits of membership to Rising Arts Leaders, the funds sought and information disseminated to granting bodies and beneficial partnerships, and what resources are used to develop a strong collection of individuals. They are also responsible for researching and creating opportunities for the receipt of grant funds and sustaining partnerships. Another goal is to make Rising Arts Leaders of San Diego a self-sustaining organization. This committee also manages the Quick Grant program.
